BOB FLETCHER’S BOOK IS PUBLISHED
Bob Fletcher’s book “THE LIFE AND TIMES OF A MOTORCYCLE
ENTHUSIAST” was published in 2008 by Jack King Associates, Bob did most of his
story in his own handwriting. I bought the book at Bob’s party and had Bob
autograph it for me; Bob tells it like it was in the early days, struggling for many
years to make a living fixing motorcycles while raising a family and leading
the life of a gypsy motorcyclist. Bob loved to race Harley Davidson motorcycles, Lucille his wife,
has always been beside him; he crossed the continent to race and tour on Harley
Davidson motorcycles.
Bob’s book is a must read for Harley Davidson
Enthusiasts, he was and forever will be what helped to make Harley Davidson a
legend and a great company.
Where do you start and what questions do you ask when
you find out the man you are going to interview has been in the motorcycle
business since 1945, in the war Bob served under General George Patton in the
13th Armored Division, strapping abandoned
motorcycles to his tank and riding them every chance he got even if the
motorcycle had no tires on the steel rims, one of his assignments during the
war was to teach other soldiers how to drive motorcycles, Bob has been to
Daytona for Bike Week every year since 1949, he entered the 200 mile race at
Daytona in 1955 and this was just the start of his amazing racing career.

FLETCHER’S HARLEY DAVIDSON IS MOVING
Fletcher’s Harley-Davidson is moving to a new 8 acre
site, the store is planned for 46,000 square feet, that’s over an acre of
Harley Davidson gear, the whole project is slated to cost over $5 million.
I will keep you informed on the date of The Grand
Opening.
